Hey, remember the 90s? Quite possibly the best decade ever in the history of our fair country. Post-Cold War hegemony. Pre-9/11 naivete. Dot-com millionaires. The rise of Grunge. Kelly Kapowski. Camp Anawanna. $.89 gas. $15 half-day Killington tickets. Michael Jordan & Scottie Pippen.
You get the point.
Oh, but don't forget The State. Arguably the best sketch-comedy show of all time. (Yes, the reign of SNL is like the reign of the Yankees dynasties, but The State makes up in height for what it lacks in length.)
At some point in time, MTV will release the 5-disc boxed set of the series--we just don't know when. It was supposed to be this fall, but the bastards at Viacom are holding back. At least the troupe will be making a TV movie for Comedy Central. Aiight.
