This past Friday marked the 24th annual Great American Beer Festival in Denver, CO. Not bad, not bad at all. Especially with these two chicas in tow.
Course, the convention center lacks a certain charm compared to the idyllic shores of Champlain. For those of you who've been to the Vermont Brewers Festival, you know what I mean. Non-corporate sponsors, better food, fresh air, and Magic Hat to boot. But still give it up to Charlie for putting on the LoDo ritz.
So, the box score. Now don't go apeshit if I don't like what you're drinkin'. It's all about the eye of the beholder, or the stomach of the refined boozer. Whatever floats your boat, hommie.

The Beast tastes like ass.
Rogue's Smoke Ale tastes like smoked salmon. I kinda liked it--much to the chagrin of my party.
Can't rate the Cave Creek Chili Beer. Couldn't drink it. Hell, there's a chili pepper in the bottle. Hotter than Alba on the beach. Novelty for the fest, but that's about it.
True, the Shipyard Blueberry Wheat was tasty, but a knock-off nonetheless of the Original--Long Trail's Blackberry Wheat. Nobody does it better than a Vermont. Nice try, Maine. Is that all the berry brew you got? Bi-yatch.
